1st HALF
Dear audience, welcome to enjoy the Rapunzel ice show. During the performance, there will be moments when you can participate in the atmosphere by turning on your own light when prompted.
On a chilly spring morning, an old woman walks to the back of her yard holding a strange seed in her hand. She digs a small hole in the soil and plants the seed. The old woman hopes that something special will grow from it—something that would bring her power and strength. Nurtured by the gentle sunlight, the small seed comes to life and grows into a magnificent, bright yellow sunflower.

At the same time, in the kingdom, the birth of a new family member is eagerly awaited, a princess will soon see the light of day. A unique crown is being prepared for the future princess, and each villager may choose one gemstone to decorate it. The whole village prepares for a grand celebration and gathers to think of a gift they could present to the king and queen in honor of this special occasion.
3. THE KINGDOM
The villagers wonder what gift would be special enough to celebrate such a magnificent day. One of them notices an exceptionally beautiful sunflower in the forest, in the yard of a cottage—it would be the perfect gift for the royal family. In the early hours of the morning, a group of villagers quietly sneaks into the old woman’s garden, carefully takes the beautiful flower, and brings it to the castle. The old woman is furious when she discovers her unique flower has been taken.
4. STEALING THE SUNFLOWER
As the stars shine brightly in the night sky, the princess is finally born, and the whole kingdom rejoices. However, the joy does not last long. The bitter old woman sneaks into the castle under the cover of night and takes the sleeping princess with her. The entire kingdom falls into deep sorrow.

6. THE BIRTH AND ABDUCTION OF THE PRINCESS
The old woman hides the little princess in a tall tower deep in the forest, where they live together year after year. She raises the princess as her own and begins to call her Rapunzel, as the girl has extraordinarily long, sunflower-yellow hair that shines like the midday sun. Rapunzel’s long hair serves as the old woman’s way up and down the tower, as the door has been sealed shut so Rapunzel cannot leave.
7. RAPUNZEL AND THE OLD WOMAN IN THE TOWER
In the tower, Rapunzel’s companion is a kind little bird. Together they spend their time singing, playing, and inventing small activities. This constant busyness eases Rapunzel’s loneliness and brings joy to her days. “Oh my little friend, you have no idea how much I need your company.”
8. RAPUNZEL WITH THE BIRDS
One evening, Rapunzel sits by the tower window with her bird friend. They see lanterns floating in the sky, glowing softly and drifting with the wind. Rapunzel watches them in awe. Suddenly, it begins to rain. They listen as raindrops tap on the roof, sounding like music.
You can light the way for the lanterns and help Rapunzel see them from afar by turning on your own light in the audience.

Time passes, and Rapunzel grows wiser each year. She often gazes out the window, dreaming of freedom and especially of the magical lanterns that appear in the sky from time to time. One day, she gathers her courage and asks the old woman for permission to leave the tower and see the lanterns up close. “Please, let me go.”
The old woman frowns and shakes her head. “You cannot leave. The world is full of dangers, and no one even misses you out there,” she says coldly. “The lanterns bring you no joy, you are safe only here in the tower.” Rapunzel sighs, but her longing to see the world continues to grow.
11. RAPUNZEL DREAMS OF FREEDOM
Rapunzel decides to obey and stay in the tower, even though her longing burns within her. She spends her days painting colorful pictures on the walls, sewing tiny clothes for birds, and playing with them.

Meanwhile, elsewhere at the edge of a dark forest, a thief named Rudolf sits by a campfire with his friends. In the quiet of the forest, he shares his plan: he has heard rumors of the castle’s hidden treasures, especially a crown filled with gemstones belonging to the princess. “Stealing that crown would be our lucky break,” Rudolf says, his eyes gleaming.
His friends grow excited and begin suggesting ways to sneak past the guards. They make a careful plan and decide to approach the castle at night, relying on the cover of shadows.
14. THE THIEF AND HIS FRIENDS
Under the cover of night, the thieves sneak into the castle and manage to steal the crown. However, they are spotted while escaping, and guards chase them into the forest. The thieves scatter in different directions to save themselves.

Rudolf, clutching the crown, wanders through the forest and ends up at the base of Rapunzel’s tower. He sees light in a window and begins climbing. Rapunzel hears a noise and, startled by his sudden appearance, knocks him unconscious with a frying pan. “Oh no, what have I done!”
20. THE THIEF ARRIVES AT THE TOWER
Rapunzel notices the crown and tries it on, wondering how well it suits her. Suddenly, she hears the old woman calling: “Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!” Panicking, she hides the unconscious Rudolf and the crown before lowering her hair.The old woman enters and notices Rapunzel acting nervously. Rapunzel forces a smile and distracts her by asking for special paints from beyond the mountains. The old woman agrees and leaves.

After the intermission, we will see how Rapunzel’s adventure continues.
2nd HALF
Welcome back to Rapunzel’s adventures. The old woman has gone far beyond the mountains. Meanwhile, Rudolf wakes up in the tower. Rapunzel and Rudolf make a deal: if Rudolf takes her to see the lanterns, she will return the crown. Rudolf helps her down from the tower. For the first time, Rapunzel experiences the outside world—filled with excitement, joy, and fear.

They walk through the forest, passing a gently flowing stream, and arrive at a clearing where Rapunzel admires nature.

Tired from the journey, they rest at an inn, where they are warmly welcomed. Rudolf encounters his old companions, who are angry at him for taking the crown.
25. ARRIVAL AT THE INN
Another group of thieves, led by Melinda, arrives. A confrontation escalates into a lively dance battle as everyone wants the crown.

Amid the chaos, Rapunzel and Rudolf slip away unnoticed and reach the town square, filled with celebration.

As evening falls, they sit by a fountain and admire the stars. Rapunzel finally sees the lanterns up close.
You can also join by turning on your light in the audience.
Rudolf has kept his promise, and Rapunzel returns the crown to him.
32. EVENING AT THE FOUNTAIN
However, guards spot Rudolf with the crown and arrest him. Rapunzel is left alone.
33. THE THIEF IS CAPTURED
The old woman discovers Rapunzel has escaped and breaks into the tower. Rapunzel returns, desperate, and begs for help to save Rudolf, but the old woman refuses.
34. RAPUNZEL RETURNS HOME
Rapunzel gathers her courage and defies the old woman, leaving to rescue her friend. She travels back through the forest, determined never to return.
35. RAPUNZEL TRAVELS TO THE KINGDOM
At the castle, Rapunzel begs the king and queen to free Rudolf. The queen recognizes her glowing hair and realizes Rapunzel is their long-lost daughter. Overjoyed, they pardon Rudolf.
36. THE QUEEN RECOGNIZES RAPUNZEL
37. JOY OVER RAPUNZEL’S RETURN
The old woman, filled with regret, asks for forgiveness. The king and queen forgive her and return the sunflower to her.
The entire kingdom celebrates the return of the lost princess. A grand celebration is held, marking an unforgettable day of joy.
